The Conference bears the name of Dr. James Dargin, a highly regarded physician and educator who passed away suddenly in 2021. He occupied several prominent positions at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and was a former Associate Medical Director at Boston MedFlight. He stood as a pioneering figure, being among the earliest physicians to combine Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine in this region. Dr. Dargin’s compassionate approach to healthcare continues to be profoundly felt throughout Boston MedFlight and the wider Greater Boston medical community.
