The Applications course is a 4 hour workshop designed as a practical follow up from the Intro to Mechanical Ventilation Course. Knowledge and skills from the Intro course are applied in a workshop setting with hands on scenarios.
- Real-world scenarios and cases
- Application of the advanced principles and critical thinking applications of mechanical ventilation.
- Function more efficiently and effectively when managing a patient
- Alternative ventilation strategies and pharmacological interventions.
This is not an entry level course for the inexperienced provider. Students enrolling in the Applications course must have previous experience with respiratory management, mechanical ventilation or courses including: Introduction to Mechanical Ventilation, Mechanical Ventilation I or Fundamental Critical Care Support course.
Approved for 4 hours (CAPCE) 4 (Nsg)My signature on (the roster) form signifies I understand that Boston MedFlight, as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, Training Officers and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
