The Applications course is a 4 hour workshop designed as a practical follow up from the Intro to Mechanical Ventilation Course. Knowledge and skills from the Intro course are applied in a workshop setting with hands on scenarios.
Real-world scenarios and cases
Application of the advanced principles and critical thinking applications of mechanical ventilation.
Function more efficiently and effectively when managing a patient
Alternative ventilation strategies and pharmacological interventions.
This is not an entry level course for the inexperienced provider. Students enrolling in the Applications course must have previous experience with respiratory management, mechanical ventilation or courses including: Introduction to Mechanical Ventilation, Mechanical Ventilation I or Fundamental Critical Care Support course.
