Now based in Nashville, Chris Housman has realized a dream that seemed impossible when he was a young man growing up on a cattle farm a 40-minute drive from Dodge City, Kansas (30 minutes if you know the backroads). His debut albums title track, Blueneck, hit No. 1 on the iTunes country chart, earned praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Good Morning America, and The Tennessean, and scored him an nomination for GLAADs Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist Award. USA Today praised Chriss strong vocals and rich Southern charm, calling him the gay-me-changer country music needs right now. Chriss sophomore album, appropriately titled Dodge City, set to release August 28th, is an homage to the place that shaped him, but that he knew hed ultimately have to leave in order to realize his dreams as a country artist and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
