Pointeworks presents COMPOSITIONS: An Evening of Katie Jenkins, a celebration of Resident Composer Katie Jenkins featuring three original ballet commissions performed with live music. Curated by Artistic Director Sophie Williams, the evening brings together an international cast of world-class artists for a program dedicated entirely to female voices in both choreography and composition. The program features the return of Laine Habony?s Chasing Shadows, a striking piano solo work, alongside Jacquelyn Long?s Moving Forces for six dancers, piano, and violin. The evening culminates in a world premiere by acclaimed choreographer Hélène Simoneau, featuring a soaring new score for live string quartet.
