Welcome to the Real Bears Fans Wear Pink campaign, which raises funds to benefit programs providing care, assistance and support to breast cancer patients and their families. Already challenged by a cancer diagnosis, over the last eighteen months these survivors have had to experience the added stress of treatment and recovery in an environment where those with underlying conditions and suppressed immune systems are at great risk.
The Chicago Bears and Bears Care recognized National Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the team's Crucial Catch game on Sunday, October 3, 2021 when the Bears defeated the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field. A limited number of shirts will be available for purchase as well on October 17, 2021 when the Bears host the Green Bay Packers. The 2021 shirt is made from a comfortable tri-blend fabric, features short sleeves, and is available in unisex sizes. Please review the shirt sizing chart and care instructions below before placing your order. Quantities are limited, inventory availability changes weekly and sales end October 31, 2021.
Join us this October in bringing awareness back to the fight against breast cancer and the importance of screening and early detection. The Journal of the National Cancer Institute predicts over 2,400 additional deaths from the disease this decade due to pandemic-related disruptions in breast cancer screenings and treatment. If these disruptions persist, that estimate could triple. Visit nfl.com/crucialcatch for personalized tips on how to reduce your risk of cancer and information on the importance of early detection.
Proceeds from the Real Bears Fans Wear Pink campaign benefit Bears Care, the charitable arm of the Chicago Bears. Advocate Heath Care, the Official Health Care Provider of the Bears, is partnering with Bears Care to help promote this important initiative. Over the last thirteen years, the program has raised nearly $1.4 million to support breast cancer patients and their families while sharing the ongoing message that routine mammograms and screening can save lives. Thank you for teaming up with Bears fans across the country to make a difference.
