This has been a popular trend as well when it comes to what is being added to auctions. Nonprofit organizations and charity fundraisers are stepping away from the once-popular auction items like themed baskets and adding travel and experience auction packages in place of them.
Not every experience needs to be a trip to Europe or courtside basketball tickets. An experience can be dinner at a popular restaurant in your city, a wine tasting where you can make your own wine, a trip to a surrounding state you have not been able to visit yet, or even staycation packages. These are things you can look back on and tell meaningful stories about, that is what we are aiming for!
Following this trend, Events.org has now started offering auction experience packages. These include everything from a trip to Bali in a private villa, tickets to the US Open, a glamping trip in Sedona, and so many more diverse experiences to pick from for your silent auction, online auctions, or live auctions!
With this new feature, we are adding, you simply view our catalog of over 200 different experiences continuously being updated and added to. They are risk-free and many allow up to 2.5 years to be used, making them very flexible for your donors.
If you choose an experience for your auction and it does not sell despite your fundraising efforts, do not worry you will only be charged the fee if the experience has been sold. If it is sold, you simply do not contact us.
